3D Origami Star Flower Ornament by justrussian 3D Origami Star Flower Ornament by justrussian
Hello there !
This is 3D origami star vase thing (I'm still looking for cool name , help anyone?)

Took me forever to build, after countless times I changed the design because something was wrong , most of the time it was lack of originality and too much symmetry .

I had to change some portions of the color version because it did work for the lightweight prototype , but not for full scale "heavy" color version.

The original idea was to mount it on the wall as a picture but it came out too large and heavy 60 CM (23.6 inch) length (star legs partly up like the video) and 35 (13.8 inch) hight.

This thing made of 3082 pieces about 193 A4 pages Scale 1\16 color bristol paper

Prototype here :

Thank and enjoy
Have a pleasant day =]

Update:
I did change the design , I pulled out some pieces, made it stronger , enlarged a little the blue "wings", and made the flowers the same hight as a blue "wings".
I'm planning to change it a lot more.
